STAR: Activity indicators as of 30 September 2021

The figures published by the Tunisian Insurance and Reinsurance Company (STAR) as of 30 September 2021 show a slight decrease of 0.7% in net written premiums. The latter went from 291.572 million TND (104.555 million USD) as of 30 September 2020 to 289.275 million TND (102.861 million USD) one year later.

Non-life premiums reached 263.319 million TND (93.631 million USD) compared to 25.956 million TND (9.22 million USD) for the life business.

The settled claims during the first nine months of 2021 increased by 9.3% to 182.486 million TND (64.888 million USD).

As of 30 September 2021, the financial products increased from 65.62 million TND (23.53 million USD) to 70.702 million TND (25.14 million USD), thus rising by 8% over one year.
