Standard & Poor's has upgraded SCOR's rating

Standard & Poor's has revised SCOR's financial strength rating upwards from "A +" with positive outlook to "AA-" with stable outlook. At the same time, the French group's credit ratings has improved; they passed from"A + / A-1" to "AA- / A-1".

The rating agency justifies this revaluation by the strong competitiveness, pricing good control and profitability of the reinsurer's P&C portfolio.
Maintaining the leading position in the life business in the US has also played in favor of the group.
Standard & Poor's, the SCOR's solid results ensure a very high capitalization level of for it till 2017.

Note that Fitch Ratings has already raised the financial strength rating of the French reinsurer from A + to AA- with stable outlook.
