SCG-Ré, first results for 2018

SCG RéThe Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Réassurance (SCG-Ré) reported, on the basis of the latest forecasts, a turnover of 12.88 billion FCFA (22.411 million USD) in 2018, up by 5%. The premiums collected in 2017 amounted to 12.27 billion FCFA francs (22.454 million USD).

The incurred losses decreased by 26.5% at FCFA 4.66 billion (8.108 million USD). The shareholder's equity grew by 10.55% in one year, rising from 8.11 billion FCFA (14.841 million USD) to 8.97 billion FCFA (15.607 million USD) in 2018.

However, the net result, declined by 28.1%, from 1.21 billion FCFA (2.214 million USD) in 2017 to 870 million FCFA (1.513 million USD) at the end of previous year. Read also: Gabonese insurance market
