Santam looking for acquisitions in Africa

The South African insurer Santam has revealed that it was about to make three acquisitions in the African market for a total of 28 million USD by the end of the year. The targeted countries are Nigeria, Malawi and Ghana, where talks for the acquisition of EIC seem to be far out. Santam, however, stopped short of revealing which stake it has taken in the Ghanaian insurer.
