Revenues are rising sharply for life insurance

The turnover generated by the Indonesian life insurers grew by 20.7% at 133 billion IDR (13.8 billion USD) in 2012. This performance is all the more encouraging as it was achieved in a difficult economic climate. Nearly 11.3% of premium volume is reported from new policies. This increase reflects the growing use of life insurance among the population. Approximately 18% of Indonesians hold a life insurance policy.
