Relaxing decision making process at Axa

On April 29, 2010, the shareholders' general assembly will provide the possibility to alter the company's governance process. A board – based structure will replace the supervisory and the management boards Axa's two current decisional bodies, established in 1997.
The supervisory board has already approved of the project. At the end of the general assembly, Henri de Castries will cede his chairmanship of the management board to take the position of chairman and general manager.
