Reinsurance, a selective renewal according to Willis

According to a report prepared by the broker Willis, 2012 reinsurers’ underwritings turned out to be very selective and fragmented. Renewal has been characterized by the case-per-case rate policy based on loss ratio and on the exposure of each treaty. Natural catastrophes covers are the only schemes to have undergone a global strengthening of the conditions, which attracted new capacities to this segment.
