Omani listed insurers: results H1 2021

According to the data published by Badri Management Consultancy, the Omani listed insurers have recorded a 1.8% turnover increase in the first half of 2021.

The premiums increased from 218 million OMR (564.685 million USD) during H1 2020 to 222 million OMR (575.016 million USD) a year later. This performance is driven by the post-Covid-19 economic recovery and the introduction of a mandatory health insurance scheme in the sultanate.

During the period under review, the net profit stood at 17 million OMR (44.035 million USD), which is a decrease of 32% from 25 million OMR (64.75 million USD) recorded as of 30 June 2020.
