New appointments at the association of insurers

Eric Chapola, CEO of NICO General Insurance, has been elected head of the insurance association of malawi. He will be assisted by Dorothy Chapeyama who is serving as vice president. The two leaders' duty will be to increase the insurance penetration rate which is currently set at 3%. Malawi has eight insurers, ten brokers and one reinsurer.
