Lloyd's is targeting China

ArgoGlobal, a Lloyd's insurer, enters into partnership with the Singaporean reinsurer Asia Capital Reinsurance Group to launch a new syndicate. The new unit will be managed by ArgoGlobal Managing Agency and fully funded by Asia Capital Re. It will underwrites exclusively China-based risks and will be operational by 2016 following the approval of local authorities.

The portfolio of Chinese reinsurance business will include the following risks: aviation, space, marine, property, engineering, accident and credit.
