Insurers battle for the establishment of a terrorism pool

Kenyan insurers demand the creation of a terrorism pool to meet the needs of the insured. The capabilities required for large commercial and industrial risks are such that a single insurer cannot cope with the demand. On a smaller scale, covers against terrorism can be underwritten within motor policies, offering a lump sum payment and repair of the vehicle in the event of a loss.
