Insurance market affected by brokers’ behaviour

The insurance market may have been seriously damaged by liquidity problems following the decision of brokers to retain the 2004 renewal premiums. The brokers justify their attitude by fears pertaining to the survival of some insurance companies that are required to implement the new law regarding recapitalisation.
