DRC to return 75% of vaccine doses to UN agency Covax

vaccineThe Democratic Republic of Congo will return 75% of the 1.7 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine will be redistributed to other African countries, including Senegal, Ghana, and Angola.

Ten days after the launch of the DRC vaccination campaign, only 2 734 people have been vaccinated. The reason for this is the reluctance of the population and the enormous logistical problems.

Faced with this situation, the Congolese government reportedly requested the redistribution of vaccines received on 2 March 2021 before they reach their expiration date in June 2021.
