Doha Insurance: Negative outlook

A.M. Best rates Doha Insurance Group with the Financial Strength Rating of A- and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-”. The rating agency has nonetheless modified the Doha’s outlooks from stable to negative.

A.M Best stated that such a decision emanates from the on-going decrease in the underwriting performance of the Qatari company. The agency is also concerned about the Doha Insurance’s risk management, mainly after noting a decline in the technical earnings. These latter remain inferior to those recorded by the other companies in the region.
