Covid-19: herd immunity will not be reached in 2021

The war against Covid-19 is far from being over. The World Health Organization (WHO) pointed out that herd immunity will not be achieved by 2021.

Eradicating the disease requires time and great resources. Collective immunity will only be possible after the large-scale production and distribution of vaccines, that is billions of doses.

In the meantime, WHO is calling for continued protection against coronavirus : wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distancing.
