Cornerstone has established a Takaful division

Cornerstone Insurance is displaying its offer for insurance products by setting up a Takaful division named Halal Takaful Nigeria which will be entrusted with the distribution of life and non-life policies. In an effort to cover people from all society's classes, the company has consolidated its network of agencies and chose to go for bancassurance as well as other means of distribution. In 2009, Cornerstone reported a turnover of 3.7 billion NGN (24.9 million USD) and a pre-tax profit of 245 million NGN (1.6 million USD).
