Annual Seminar of ARIG

Heads of 18 countries from the Middle East, Africa and Asian sub-continent met in Bahrain at the end of May 2003 to attend the annual seminar organized by the company ARIG (Arab Insurance Group). The theme of the conference was “Facing Changes''. Among the issues discussed were the upheavals of the regional insurance markets, the price of proportional reinsurance policies; the Takaful products (a participative insurance), the important role of actuaries, the implementation of a mandatory health insurance in the Middle East.
