AM Best: top 10 most important insurers in 2019

AM Best has published a list of the world's largest insurance companies based on net written premiums and non-bank assets in 2019. This study is based on data from the BestLink analysis platform and additional research conducted by the rating agency.

With a net written premium volume of 189.7 billion USD, UnitedHealth Group maintains its position as the world's leading insurance company for the sixth consecutive year.

The Chinese group Ping An Insurance and the French insurer AXA occupy second and third place respectively on the podium.

The ranking by non-bank assets makes Allianz the best insurance company in the world. In second and third place are Prudential Financial and AXA.
