Wafa Assurance invests in assistance insurance

Inter Mutuelle Assistance (IMA) held by Maif, Macif and Matmut has signed a partnership with Wafa Assurance designed to establish an insurance company specializing in assistance. With a staff of one hundred people, the company will embark on a market with huge potential. A license application has been filed at the department of insurance and social welfare (DAPS). Three assistance companies are already operating in Morocco: Issaf Mondial Assistance, AXA Assistance and Mondiale Assistance. IMA is targeting not only the local market but also French-speaking Africa.
