Wafa Assurance to complete the acquisition of 65% of Pro Assur SA

Wafa Assurance has completed the acquisition of 65% of the non-life Cameroonian insurer Pro Assur SA's capital. The Moroccan company, which is already present in the country through its subsidiary "Wafa Assurance Vie Cameroun" thus consolidates its place within first economy of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).

Wafa Assurance intends to develop its insurance offers for motor, health and technical risks in the top three CIMA markets, namely Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Senegal. As a reminder, Wafa Assurance announced in April 2019, the acquisition of 89.4% de Pro Assur Vie (life) and 65% of Pro Assur SA (non-life).
