UIC threatened of liquidation

Subjected to control by the authorities since July 2005, United Insurance Company of Kenya (UIC) is under the threat of liquidation if its shareholders do not manage to inject 500 million KES (6.88 million USD) in its capital within two months. UIC is the fourth company to suffer this ordeal after Stallion, Lakestar and Liberty Insurance.
