Trust Re unveils its 2016 results

The Bahraini reinsurer Trust Re closed the year 2016 with a turnover of 481.7 million USD, up by 1.2% compared to 2015. The net result of 18.8 million USD is down by 39% against 30.8 million USD achieved in 2015.

The underwriting result was also in decrease, from USD 17.5 million in 2015 to USD 13 million one year later. Despite the loss of 1.1 points compared to 2015, the combined ratio stabilized at 95.1% which is a good level in a soft reinsurance market.

The shareholders' equity, on its part, grew by 13.4% at 487.3 million USD in 2016.
