Towards harmonizing the regulation of banking and insurance sectors

In a petition submitted to the authorities, the insurers and brokers associations are requesting a standardisation of the banking and insurance sectors with a view to developing insurance penetration rate in the country. The move aims, especially, at authorizing banks to market life insurance products.
