Shortage of accredited actuaries in Africa

With the entry into effect of the new solvency rules in developed countries, the demand for certified actuaries is faced with the lack of competencies in Africa. Numerous African actuaries have responded favorably to offers made by European, American and Asian companies. Nigeria, for instance, has 160 million inhabitants and only 10 actuaries operating in the country.
