SCOR: results at end-September 2024

ScorSCOR posted a net loss of 229 million EUR (255.6 million USD) as at 30 September 2024, against a net profit of 650 million EUR (687.9 million USD) in the first three quarters of 2023.

The French group's net income was adversely affected by the revision of L&H (life and health) assumptions. SCOR L&H's insurance service result stood at -467 million EUR (-521.3 million USD).

This loss was partly offset by the non-life (P&C) segment, which generated insurance service result of 542 million EUR (605 million USD) and a combined ratio of 87.4%.

During the reporting period, insurance revenue amounted to 12.142 billion EUR (13.6 billion USD), representing a slight 0.4% increase year-on-year.

The company's economic value (shareholders' equity + CSM margin) reached 8.399 billion EUR (9.4 billion USD), down by 8.3% over one year.

Estimated at 203% at 30 September 2024, SCOR's solvency ratio is within the optimum range of 185%-220%.
