SBI Life has opened a branch in Bahrain

SBI Life has received approval from Bahraini supervisory authority for the establishment of a local subsidiary. The new entity due to see the light of day in December 2017 will be designed as a springboard for the Indian insurer to extend its operations to the Middle East.

Set up in March 2001, SBI Life is a joint venture between State Bank of India and French financial service company BNP Parisbas Cardif.
