SAMA is overwhelmed by the license applications

According to Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), 66 insurance firms have applied for a license to operate in the kingdom. Experts estimate that the insurance sector’s share in the gross domestic product should rise from 0.7 to 3.7% in 2005.
