With a 2003 turnover of 14.8 billion FCFA (25.6 million USD), the insurance firm CHANAS has consolidated its leading position on the market which comprises 20 actors. AXA holds the second position of the ranking with a turnover of 11.2 billion FCFA (19.4 million USD), followed by SAAR, SNAC and Activa. 1 307 people are employed in the insurance sector.
