Orient Insurance to open a branch in Saudi Arabia

The Emirati insurer Orient Insurance has been authorized by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) to open a branch in KSA. The latter shall begin operating in 2020.

The insurer also received SAMA's approval for the appointment of Saran Manea Abu Saq as chief executive officer of the new company. For the record, Orient Insurance announced its intention to settle in Saudi Arabia in July 2019. It obtained the preliminary approval from SAMA in September of the same year.
