Orient Insurance to expand in three countries

Orient Insurance has confirmed, in a press release issued on 19 September 2024, its plans to expand into Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Australia.

In February 2020, the Emirati insurer obtained approval from the relevant authorities to open a branch in Saudi Arabia. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the start of operations has been delayed.

The company is now in the final stages of securing a new approval and launching operations in the Kingdom.

Present on the Egyptian market through its subsidiary Orient Takaful Insurance Egypt, Orient Insurance is studying the possibility of establishing a life insurance business in the country.

The company is also exploring opportunities to expand into the takaful market in Australia.
