One in eight drivers travels without insurance in the United States

According to a study conducted by the Insurance Research Council (IRC), one in eight drivers circulates without insurance in the United States.

Research conducted with 14 insurers controlling 60% of the US market reveals that the rate of non-insured motorists rose from 12.3% in 2010 to 13% in 2015.

This percentage varies considerably from one State to another. It drops from 4.5% in Maine to 26.7% in Florida.
