Non-life French insurers’s outlooks confirmed by Fitch

Rating agency Fitch has confirmed the “stable” outlooks of the French non-life insurers. For the vast majority of them, they will therefore be able to maintain their current ratings over the next 12 to 24 months. According to Fitch, improvements have been noticed at the level of price and repayment applications while no major natural event disrupted the sector. One negative point: the agency noted that premiums growth remains poor while the crisis is bringing to surface several challenges: appearance of low-priced offers, return to a longer-term aggressive competition and lingering period for low-yielding investments.
