New India Insurance is providing “three in one" kind of insurance

New India Insurance, India's largest non life insurer, is about to apply to the supervisory authorities for a license to market a policy involving personal accident, household and health guarantees. This product is expected to increase the penetration rate of these classes of business. Personal accident cover has been in the market for over 10 years but never managed to take off even though it is cheaper than that sold in packages offered by life insurers. Non life distribution networks are not keen on selling this kind of product deemed unprofitable.
