Marketing a homeowner's insurance product in India

The Indian regulatory authority IRDAI is calling on insurers to provide a standard homeowner's insurance policy. Called "Bharat Griha Raksha", the solution will be implemented starting 1 April 2021.

The product covers fire, natural disasters, strikes, riots, malicious damage, acts of terrorism, bursting and overflowing of water tanks, sprinkler leaks and theft.

In addition to the home building guarantee, the policy provides coverage for the insured's valuables and personal accidents.
