The Indian HDFC Ltd. and ERGO International AG, subsidiary of Munich Re, have reached an agreement for the creation of a joint venture. The deal is likely to materialise at the end of 2007. Named HDFC ERGO General Insurance Ltd., the new entity will be based in Mumbai.
