Insurers facing the challenge of energy risk

William O. Agbenyega, general manager of Ghana Re, is inciting insurers to raise more capital in order to provide greater underwriting capacities following the discovery of gas and oil in the country. He recalled that Ghana Re has the capacity and the know-how to accept energy reinsurance covers. He invited his local partners to enter into partnership with Ghana Re in order to meet the growing demand of insurance for this class of business.
