Insurers call for vigilance of drivers

Following the pileup that involved 57 vehicles on the highway between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain last January 16, insurers complain about significant insurance losses and call motorists for respect to traffic rules.

Police said the pileup was caused by reduced visibility due to weather conditions, but also by non-observance of the safety distance between vehicles.

The accident caused 14 injured among which, one serious.
