Insurers are joining mobile telephony operators

One of the major topics of the AIO’s 38th annual conference has focused on the increase of insurance penetration rate in Africa. In this regard, mobile telephony operators in Africa are committed to partner with insurers.
These initiatives will lead to higher premiums collection and to the popularization of microinsurance products.
The conference participants also agreed to collaborate through various distribution channels including church organizations, schools, associations and organizations of rural management.
