The insurance market is growing by 6.63% in 2009

According to the Fédération Tunisienne des Sociétés d'Assurance (FTUSA), the insurance sector has posted a growth of 6.63% in 2009. The overall turnover amounted to 1.025 billion TND (782 million USD) compared to 961.921 million TND (754 million USD) in 2008. The motor class of business is the most pervasive with 475.369 million TND (362 million USD) of premiums, that is, 46.35% of the market. The group health insurance comes second with 143.925 million TND (109 million USD) of premiums and a market share of 14.03%.
