Importance of new technologies in the development of insurance in Africa

The 45th general assembly of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) was held from May 6 to 9, 2017 in Accra (Ghana). The debates pertained to the importance of new technologies in the development of insurance in Africa. Online sale facilitates access to the products offered while connected insurance such as “Pay as you drive” makes it possible to optimize costs and provide covers at affordable prices.

The participants have also called upon African governments to invest in the improvement of technological infrastructure.
