The government would make health insurance compulsory

By the end of the year, the Kenyan government will submit a bill to the Parliament for the establishment of a mandatory health insurance system. Objective: to make health care accessible to all. The legislation, which should come into effect in July 2004, allocates 541, 000, 000 USD per year to the National Social Health Insurance Fund.
