Ghana Re celebrates its 40th anniversary

During a ceremony commemorating Ghana Re’s fortieth anniversary, the general manager of the national reinsurer has exhibited his vision of the market. His concerns pertain mainly to legal cession and Ghanaians’ apathy about insurance.
He also called upon the authorities to suspend the operations of the insurance companies which no longer comply with the standards set out in the legislation. Ghana Re was established in 1972.
