A former Jubilee leader appointed at the top of APA Insurance

Simon Clayton, CEO of Jubilee during 2007, has been nominated chairman of APA Insurance in mid January 2012, following the departure of Ashoka Shah to Apollo Investment holding. APA Insurance is Kenya’s second company with a market share of 8.81% in 2010, that is, a premium volume of 4.6 billion KES (58.9 million USD). APA Insurance is the result of a merger between Apollo Insurance and Pan African Insurance. APA Insurance, partly detained by Leapfrog and Apollo Investment, is going to embark on microinsurance products.
