Floods of Cap Bon killed six people and caused heavy material damage

The floods that hit the region of Cap Bon (Northeastern Tunisia) on September 22, 2018 claimed the lives of six people and damaged more than 2 500 houses.

The torrential rains of rare violence, recorded a peak of 297 mm in the city of Beni Khiar. Extensive damage affected infrastructure, public and private prperties. The damage was compounded by the wadis' rising waters.

Many firemen and security forces were mobilized to provide assistance to the victims.
