Establishment of a mortality table in Egypt

The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and Africa Re are partnering to set up the first Egyptian mortality table.

A call for tenders was launched for the selection of a consultancy firm to carry out the project. The mortality table should be completed within 7-12 months.

It will likely be based on the British mortality tables which resemble the Egyptian experience in terms of death and disability rates.
