The Ecowas motor insurance system

The Gambia National Bureau in charge of running the brown cards system, Ecowas, has announced that a new secured version of this program will be created on January 1, 2012. This system is designed to facilitate free movement for policyholders throughout Ecowas member states (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo). The brown card will cover motor bodily injuries and material damages caused to third parties by holders of this card.
