Cyber-attack: Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine docs hacked

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has been hit by a cyber-attack. Documents related to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine license application were hacked. An investigation has been launched by the EMA in cooperation with the police to trace back the origin of the attack.

The EMA is working on approval of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines in Europe, which it expects to conclude on 29 December 2020 at the latest.
