Compulsory health insurance for Jordanian workers and pensioners

Jordan's General Organisation for Social Security, in collaboration with health insurers, plans to start a study to expand compulsory health coverage. The study will start in Q1 2022.

The new plan is intended for private sector workers and retirees who do not benefit from health coverage provided by their employers.

The policy covers treatment in private hospitals such as cancer or maternity fees and care.
