Capital Express Assurance takes a majority stake in Capex Life Insurance

The Nigerian company Capital Express Assurance has taken control of Capex Life Assurance (formerly Trinity Life Insurance). The takeover was completed for 1.5 million USD.

Capital Express now owns 65% of the capital against 35% for the Kenyan partners. Trinity Life Assurance was one of the smallest players in the sector with a market share of 0.13% in 2009 and a premium income of 204 000 USD.
