AIG wants to strengthen its Egyptian subsidiary

According to the Egyptian daily Al Ahram, Michael Whitwell, manager of "Middle East and Africa" AIG's branch, said that the U.S. insurer plans to make AIG Egypt its regional office for operations in Africa and the Middle East.

AIG Egypt has about 4.6% market share in Egypt and has an issued capital of 8.62 million USD.
